How to Convert Data from Base Year 2014 to 2010

HOW TO CONVERT AND CHANGE A BASE YEAR DATA

How to convert Singapore Consumer Price Index data which is  base year 2014=100 to any base year. 

In this example I convert the data 2014=100 to the base year 2010=100. 

Step 1: Provide data

Step 2: Find the average of each year.
Type =Average, then drag from 1/15/1990 until 12/12/1990. Then ENTER

 Step 3: Repeat the step 2. Do until the end of the year.

Step 4: Combine the average of each year 1990-2015

Step 5: If you want to make 2010 as base year put 100 in column G beside 87.84767

Step 6:
-Then we need to find average of each year which is using base year 2010=100.
-To find the average of 2009 and upward follow the picture below.
-Type =, then click box F21 divided Box F22 then multiply Box G22, then Enter.

Step 7: Repeat the step 6

Step 8: Repeat the step by step. From 2010 to 1990.

Step 9: Then find the average for year 2011 and downward. 

Step 10: Repeat the step by step 2011-2015.

Step 11: 

-After finish found the average of each year. We need to multiply the old data with the average.

-In column D write 2010=100.

-Then in column D2, Write =, then click B2 divide with F2 and the multiply with G2, then enter.

-Then drag until 12/15/1990. 

*** Write Symbol $ Within F2 > F$2 and G2 > G$2 (Please Refer Picture Below)

Step 12: 

-Same step with step 11. For 1/15/1991 (B14/F$3)*G$3 the enter. Drag the answer until 12/12/1991. 

-Repeat the step until 2015.
